SARSA, the Sinjab Academy Refractive Surgery Advisor

Enter a patient's refractive workup and get a per-eye surgical advisory: candidate procedures, safety flags, and a printable report.

The advisory

What the Advisor Returns

Per-eye parameters across five procedure families: surface ablation (PRK, TransPRK, LASEK), LASIK and FemtoLASIK, SMILE, phakic IOL, and refractive lens exchange.

Example advisory, LASIK

Illustrative values, not patient data

ParameterOD (right)OS (left)
Ablation depth105.62 µm98.58 µm
Percent tissue altered41.40%39.03%
Residual stromal bed319.38 µm341.42 µm
Post-op central corneal thickness439.38 µm461.42 µm

Example flag: OD percent tissue altered exceeds the safety threshold for LASIK.

Safety flags surface inline with the numbers, and advisory notes accompany every result, with room for your own clinical notes on each assessment.

Workflow

From Workup to Report

Three steps, repeatable for every patient.

  1. Step 1

    Enter the Workup

Refraction and corneal parameters for each eye, entered in a guided wizard that checks each step before you move on.

  2. Step 2

    Review the Per-Eye Advisory

Candidate procedures with right and left eye (OD/OS) metrics, safety banners, and advisory notes you can edit.

  3. Step 3

    Save and Print

Assessments file into a searchable history by patient name or chart ID, with a print-clean report for the record.

Method and Data

What the advisor is built on, and where your assessments live.

Method

The advisory logic was developed and clinically reviewed by Sinjab Academy faculty, and every parameter and threshold it applies is visible in the result it returns.

Scope

Laser-based and lens-based pathways across the five procedure families, with tomography readings from Pentacam, Galilei, and Sirius / MS39 devices.

Data

Assessments are stored in your Sinjab Academy account. See the Privacy Policy for how they are stored, exported and deleted, and how long they are kept.

SARSA is decision support for qualified clinicians. It informs surgical planning; it does not replace clinical judgment or your own examination of the patient.
